Besides the Mona Lisa, Leonardo was famous for The Last Supper, a painting of Jesus and the 12 apostles just before the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross.
In Dan Brown’s book, The DaVinci Code, he reveals some of his interpretations of the painting. Since their are 13 people (not 12), he suggests that the person on Jesus’ right is a woman, maybe Mary Magdalene. It has also been suggested that the V shape between her and Jesus’ is a reference to the Holy Grail.

One of my college roommates was studying art and she had to take some art anatomy classes to make sure her art was realistic of the proportions of the human body.
Interesting to me as I was a biology major and I never had to take an art class.
